In the party game Poetry for Neanderthals , the players become Neanderthals who want to recite cheerful verses, but this turns out to be difficult: Neanderthals don't know any words that have more than one syllable! In two teams, the players have to explain terms against the clock and are only allowed to use words with one syllable. Anyone whose Stone Age vocabulary isn't monosyllabic enough gets a blow with the inflatable "Nope!" club.
