Y-who? Yvo, of course! Y-V-O, totally easy, just 3 letters - pronounced Ee-vo!
You’ve surely seen him in our shop a time or two!
He’s that grey, fluffy creature you keep seeing on our banners.
Since Yvo has a very strong need for self-expression, he secretly swaps the banners in our shop for pictures of himself every night.
Some think he’s a cat. Others think he’s a wolf. Still others think he’s a raccoon – the fact is: Nobody knows Yvo’s secret! And he simply refuses to tell us! We’ve come to think he was created by some mad scientist in a secret lab somewhere! His mysterious "Project YVO-1337" tattoo certainly suggests as much!
Yvo was hired as yvolve's official mascot on April 27, 2021. His nerdy personality went over quite well with our bosses and was probably the only reason he was hired at yvolve! And, of course, the fact that he knows every rulebook for various pen & paper games by heart!
Nothing is known about his past. He claims that he is wanted on 7 planets and that a bounty of 7 million credits has been placed on him there.
It quickly became clear that he wouldn’t just remain a mascot. Yvo had a completely different plan from the start! We believe he wants to conquer the world!
Since the day he was hired, nothing has been the same. He has all his colleagues at headquarters under his thumb. Anyone who dares to disagree with him gets mercilessly pelted with pizza, fries, or burgers! Because those are just about the only things Yvo stuffs his face with all day long.
Yvo is the most caffeine-addicted and least productive employee on the team. He spends most of his time coming up with his next cosplay and sending out discounts to yvolve fans. That really drives our bosses totally wild!
Like any nerd, Yvo loves going to conventions and meeting up with like-minded people to pursue his favorite hobby: cosplay!
For him, it’s much more than just wearing a costume. He slips into a new role and takes on a different identity.
The costumes in Yvo’s closet range from gaming heroes like Mario or Link, to film & TV characters like Luke Skywalker or Harry Potter, all the way to Goku or Luffy and other characters from the world of manga & anime.
No matter the occasion: Yvo always has the perfect outfit in his wardrobe!
Yvo’s other hobbies include, among others:
• Watching movies & series
• Playing video games & board games
• Reading manga
• Attending conventions
• Celebrating cosplay
