Venom Merchandise
We are Venom, and we are talking about ourselves.
So, we’re supposed to sell your merch. I THINK THAT'S GREAT. But we’re also supposed to provide information about you. BUT I'M SO SHY. Since when, pray tell? JUST KIDDING. LET’S GET STARTED. LET’S INFORM THESE WEIRD NERDS ABOUT ME.
Venom is a character from Marvel Comics and refers to both an alien symbiote from the Klyntar race and a multitude of symbioses between this entity and a host. NICE INTRODUCTORY SENTENCE. I LIKE IT. You don't have to comment on everything now. SORRY. HEY, CAN I HAVE ONE OF THOSE LAMPS? Later. Can we continue? SURE. The Klyntar were created by the evil Elder God Knull, and the symbiote we know as Venom was banished by its own kind for refusing to bow to Knull’s will. Via detours—like briefly merging with the Kree Tel-Kar—it made its way to Earth. This backstory was only added to the character's biography over the years. Originally, Spider-Man was simply supposed to get a new black costume in 1984. The idea came from Marvel fan Randy Schueller. Editor-in-chief Jim Shooter paid him $220 for it. CHEAPSKATE! Retroactively, the new costume was explained by saying that Spider-Man’s suit was tattered after the battles on the Beyonder's Battleworld. Thor and Hulk explain to Spidey at the hero base that there is a machine that can read his thoughts and create any type of costume for him. Believing he had found the right machine, Spider-Man causes a black sphere to appear, which covers his body and repairs his costume in the process. ME! HAVING A TOTAL DEADPOOL MOMENT RIGHT NOW. For a while, Spider-Man walked around in the strange new costume, which conveniently could also mimic street clothes.
In the course of the Sin-Eater storyline, where Eddie Brock was exposed by Spider-Man because Brock first announced the wrong man as the culprit before Spidey later apprehended the right one, Spidey becomes fully aware of the symbiote's consciousness and separates from it. The symbiote transfers to Brock. This is the birth of one of Spider-Man's most notorious villains: the original Venom. We know the famous scene in the bell tower from the third part of Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy, even if we aren't comic readers. However, the name "Venom" is never mentioned there. Since the film rights for characters from Spider-Man comics still lie with Sony, and they have their own plans for the character as shown in the film Venom starring Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock, an appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is currently rather unlikely. However, the multiverse and the cooperation between Disney and Sony could enable a coexistence, or even a crossover of both film series. It is quite possible that with Spider-Man: No Way Home, the MCU and Sony's Spider-Man films, including their latest reboots, will come together. Rumors about the film's cast, which is said to include former Spider-Man actors Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield in addition to Alfred Molina (Doctor Octavius) and Jamie Foxx (Electro), suggest this. WHAT ABOUT MJ AND GWEN? No MJ and no Gwen. YOU KNOW WHAT'S WEIRD? No, what? MJ RED HAIR, KIRSTEN DUNST BLONDE HAIR, GWEN STACY BLONDE HAIR, BRYCE DALLAS HOWARD RED HAIR. AND SHE WAS WITH EMMA STONE, ALSO RED HAIR, IN THE HELP. Uh. And? I’M JUST SAYING. YOU GUYS REALLY HAVE A LOT OF T-SHIRTS WITH ME ON THEM.
Since Brock holds a quite understandable grudge against Peter Parker and the symbiote didn't handle the separation well either, they make for a dangerous symbiosis. From its merger with Spider-Man, the symbiote possesses all of Peter Parker's memories, and that is something he and Brock can now take advantage of. However, the figure of Venom is not to be understood as a villain in the strict sense, even if it acts as such toward Spidey. THAT'S RIGHT! I'M HUNGRY. CAN I EAT YVO? No! Venom is an anti-hero. An anti-hero who wants to eat online store mascots. YOU SAY THAT LIKE IT'S A BAD THING. Aside from his enmity toward the friendly neighborhood spider, Venom becomes a vigilante himself and fights against far more evil creatures. Above all, an offspring of his own: Carnage! When Eddie Brock is in prison, a part of the symbiote splits off and unites with the psychopath and serial killer Cletus Kasady. He was a GIANT ASSHOLE before that! Yes, exactly. In connection with the symbiote, he becomes one of the most vicious, sadistic, and dangerous creatures in Marvel history.
The Venom symbiote has had other hosts besides Peter Parker and Eddie Brock over the years, though it usually returns to them sooner or later. Particularly noteworthy here is Parker’s old high school rival, Flash Thompson. As Agent Venom, the character actually becomes a superhero for a time, if you will, fighting side by side with the Secret Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy, among others. For a while, the symbiote also merged with Scorpion, for example. VERY DARK CHAPTER. I WAS IN A BIT OF A PHASE THEN. But the symbiote also bonded with Lee Price, a member of Scorpion’s gang, during a black-market deal between Black Cat and Tombstone. A CLEAR HOST OF DESPERATION.
