The festive music and the gently falling snowflakes at the beginning of the film immediately set a nostalgic, sentimental mood that accompanies us throughout the rest of the animated classic. How uneasy we felt when the mean aunt appeared on the scene with her naughty Siamese cats and things went downhill for the household goldfish and bird—and especially our Lady.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eThe dangerous chicken chase, the dog pound, the rat in the nursery! Nerds might be tough and unflappable when facing difficult gaming tasks, but we’ve certainly clenched our fists in worry more than once during Lady’s adventures.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eAnd how brilliant is Tramp, anyway?\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eThe stray who has been making his way through life on the streets for years, stopping by every neighborhood family for a meal. Naturally, this includes the city's upscale restaurants, where he organizes the legendary moonlight spaghetti dinner for himself and Lady. A dog like Tramp always knows a way out and effortlessly pulls the wool over every dogcatcher's eyes. However, this also makes him a bit reckless, putting Lady in danger. And then, in the pound, she finds out about all his past flings. We can't help but tap our feet when Peggy the dog sings about Tramp’s romances and her own love for him. As children, we only caught that on the sidelines. Now, later on, we completely understand Lady’s outrage at Tramp’s amorous adventures!\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eAlso unforgettable are the numerous, lovable side characters from \u003cstrong data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eLady and the Tramp\u003c\/strong\u003e, who give the film its very special charm. We love Lady’s friends, the neighborhood dogs Jock and Trusty, who not only protect her like big brothers but also look at her new admirer with extra suspicion, almost as dearly as the two main stars. Even the toughest dog in front of the TV screen had \"something in their eye\" during Trusty’s misfortune. On the other hand, we were able to laugh heartily at other moments: at the quirky beaver at the zoo who lets himself be talked into using Lady’s muzzle as a tool for his current construction project, and just as much at the strict zookeeper who, after a trick by Tramp, charges at a slightly eccentric visitor with his stick raised. And if we’re being honest, the stuffy aunt’s two Siamese cats, with their reckless attitude toward all order and decorum, are refreshing in their passion for chaos.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eA true classic\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eThe classic tale of the canine couple \u003cstrong data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eLady and the Tramp\u003c\/strong\u003e even received a modern live-action remake in 2019. Even if touching this beloved material borders on blasphemy for one or two longtime fans, the film received pretty good reviews all in all—and reminded us at the very least how beautiful this story with the lovable four-legged friends is, and that it's high time to dig out the old VHS tape once again.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eAlthough \u003cstrong data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eLady and the Tramp\u003c\/strong\u003e comes across as a film for children, we are still fired up for this Disney evergreen, especially as adults, and discover a new, wonderful detail every time. As a child, it was perfectly sufficient to pester our parents again and again to put the film on.
